Texas Mandatory Posting Updates

  • 01/2024 - Workplace Violence - The Texas Workforce Commission has released their Workplace Violence notice. The newly released notice reflects that employees may anonymously report workplace violence or suspicious activities to the Department of Public Safety. Employers are required to post the notice in English and Spanish in a conspicuous, convenient place.
  • 11/2022 - Child Labor Laws - The Texas Workforce Commission Wage and Hour Department, Child Labor Enforcement has updated their Child Labor Laws notice. The updated notice reflects an increase to the age limit a person must be in order to work in sexually oriented businesses. The age requirement is now age 21 (previously age 18). The poster revision date is November 15, 2022.

Texas Non-Mandatory Posting Updates

  • 04/2016 - Child Labor Laws -The Texas Workforce Commission has updated their Child Labor Laws notice. The changes include additions to the prohibited occupations for 14 through 17 year olds and also includes restrictions about child actors. The poster revision date is March 27, 2018.
  • 03/2016 - Equal Employment Opportunity - The Texas Workforce Commission updated the Equal Employment Opportunity in Texas notice. Provisions have been added stating that sexual harassment of unpaid interns is against the law and that Texas is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Program.
  • 01/2016 - Workers' Compensation Notice 9: Regarding Certain Work-Related Communicable Diseases and Eligibility For Workers' Compensation - The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation updated the Workers' Compensation Notice 9 posting. The Texas Department of Health has been renamed Texas Department of State Health Services. There is also an updated contact number for the Division of Workers' Compensation, and the revision date has been updated.
  • 04/2015 - Child Labor Laws - The Texas Department of Labor has updated their Child Labor Laws notice by revising a title within the subsections. Please note that the revision date has not changed and that this update has not affected the posting.
  • 04/2015 - Equal Employment Opportunity - The Texas Department of Labor has updated their Equal Employment Opportunity posting with minor adjustments to the notice's format. Please note that this has not affected the posting verbiage in any way.
